You should also take some time to see to your own emotional needs. In order to provide your children quality care, you need to be physically and mentally health. Be sure to focus on you, whether that entails spending time with friends and family or partaking in a beloved hobby. Doing so will allow you to provide a strong emotional foundation for your children.

Provide Support

Lastly, make sure you’re available for support when your children need it. This support can be provided in a number of ways, from sitting and talking to your child to taking a walk in the park. Also, offer ways that your child can communicate with your ex, such as by making a phone call or even creating a card that expresses how he or she truly feels.
